We provide a service where your child can be outdoors and enjoy time with their peers.

Covid-19 affected many sectors of our economy but most importantly our lives as we knew it. It altered our routines, our likes and dislikes, and our use of many many different things. For some people these changes were, and still are, good… and for some, not so good. We can agree that things are still changing as we try to get back to a new normal.

We are ready to offer the best of us for this changing world and our idea is an answer to many of your needs. Let us explain why but first let us tell you who we are.
The founders, Melanie C. and Gustavo Z. represent two different groups: a woman business owner and a Latino. Melanie comes from an education background with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She transitioned to the Higher Education space and has performed successfully in that industry for more than 20 years, with the last 10 years focused in Education Technology. Gustavo worked for the government for more than 16 years and most recently in the entertainment industry managing an amusement park for more than two years. This background allowed them (us) to build a great business idea with procedures, safety, entertainment, and educational aspects ready to go.
So what is this idea itself? Very simple: we take a fun, safe, environmentally friendly, outdoor (or indoor) gel blasting activity to your location. It is easy for even five year olds. Simple as that. You can choose from a variety of options to enjoy the best experience for you and your event. We recommend booking the activity at least two months in advance so we can offer you the best experience. Among the fun we bring to your location, we provide the gel blasters and the gellets, protective masks, and a set of inflatable bunkers. You can also purchase “add-ons” for your experience, such as smoke devices.
Another thing to keep in mind is the location. We define the location as a secure place of your choice. This can be: your backyard, a cul-de-sac, a park, or any other space comparable in size to a basketball court, which is ideal for up to ten to fifteen participants. We call it a secure location because you are expected to make the arrangements in advance, such as renting the space or getting permissions. Some locations do not require any action like a neighborhood’s meadow or green spaces as they are designed and intended for recreational and leisure activities. We always recommend checking with the appropriate parties first.
Going back to the initial question: Why?
We were concerned about how our kids were so absorbed with screens and smartphones pre-Covid, and then Covid hit….even more time spent staring at screens. We wanted a way to get kids outdoors, exercising, enjoying nature, and socializing with friends and family.
Gella Fun LLC is a company based in Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA that provides a mobile party service to the customers.
The party service includes a Party Commander that will lead the participants through games the entire party. They are responsible for assembling and disassembling all the goods and props needed for the activity. For example: the spectator’s net (we call it “The Shield”) and inflatable bunkers. They organize the games, duration of them, teams, etc. They are also responsible for collecting any other payments or charges that are related to the activity booked or goods used/broken.
We are aware that this is a fairly new technology so we are on the mission of educating people about it and our honest intention is to develop as much information as possible about this amazing and fun activity. We also intend to continue with this blog explaining more in detail about the equipment, how everything works, what you can expect, safety features, etc.
